County Leadership

  • Noell Krughoff~ Central Committee Chair

    • Noell and her husband Tom live in Union Township in northeastern Shelby County. Tom and Noell have four adult children and two grandsons. Noell is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church; Noell and Tom are members of Little Blue River Friends Meeting. Besides church activities Noell and Tom are active with Shelby County Players.

    Noell has a BA in Communication Arts from the University of Dayton and a Masters in Education from Indiana University. She served as the Shelby County Solid Waste Management District Director from 1998 to 2005. She also worked for the Shelby County Soil and Water Conservation District as a conservation educator. Most recently she mangages an Environmental Protection Agency grant for the Little Blue River Watershed.

    Noell was re-elected Central Committee Chair in March 2009. She is also the Union Township Precinct Committee chairperson. Noell’s goals for the Shelby County Democratic Party are:
    1. To strengthen the organizational structure.
    2. To educate the public about Democratic ideals.
    3. To increase participation by Democrats in local decision making.

  • Saul Watkins~ Central Committee Vice Chair

    • Saul was elected Vice Chair in March 2009. He serves as the 2S Precinct Committee Chair. Saul has been active in the Democratic Party for years – in northern Indiana and now here in Shelby County. His goal is to encourage quality candidates to run for office.

  • Jody Olinger ~ Central Committee Treasurer

    • Jody has been involved with Shelby County Democrats for many years. She also serves on the County Election Board. She was re-elected Central Committee Treasurer in March 2009 and is the Moral South Precinct Committee Chair.

  • John Stieneker ~ Central Committee Interim-Secretary

    • John is a long-time union member and Democratic supporter. He was elected Central Committee Secretary in 2005 and is remaining in that position until a replacement can be appointed. John also serves as the Jackson Township Precinct Committee Chair.
